Hi Kirk, Thanks for this very heartwarming story and reminding me that God really is in everything....like how many hairs are on our heads - Wow! Its a dark season for me so your story bring some needed needed light and hope! Also, my daughter Katy, while in high school too - choose open adoption for my precious grandson Reese who is 12 now! He was with us every step of our journey and even thought we miss him - we have the most amazing relationship with him and his adoptive parents Sheena and Kyle. So thanks again Kirk. Merry Christmas to you.
Thank you, Nancy—and I’m sorry this is a difficult time in your life. I’m guessing you have my email so please connect if you wish. And what a story of Katie’s courage, of Reese and the relationship you have with his parents. This all takes faith—and no doubt you have that faith. I’m with you!
Loved this story - such a picture of how God works and weaves His tapestry of love and faithfulness through so many lives. Well done and well written! Merry Christmas!
Your story really pulled a lot of different emotions out of me.
The prayers that we think God dose not hear, the tearing of our hearts as we plead with Him , the roller coaster ride of answered prayers. That remind us that He hears us.
And in the trails of daily life trying to have integrity to do the right thing, even though your heart feels defeated .
Thank you, Carl--I think this is what I was shooting for. Sometimes we just don't "get" God. We can't see behind the scenes and at least for me, my first response can be . . . not so good.
But like Matt in this story, we just need to keep trying to do right. It's what faith is all about.

Thank you, Diane—and Merry Christmas to you as well!
Wow! I was crying as I was reading this story. Such a good reminder that God moves exactly at the right time.
Thank you, Andrea--and you are so right, He does move in a timely fashion (even if I don't realize it at the time!).
